'Cavvanbah' (often spelt 'Cavanbah') is the original name for Byron Bay and means
meeting place. 'Cavvanbah' is how the name was entered in Captain
Cook's Log. Our luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation is
designed to offer you the ideal base for getting out and about in
Byron Bay or, if you like your own space, you can opt for absolute
privacy.
Each
of our rooms is unique, with wide-opening doors and windows to give
that inside/outside feel - more light and airy in summer, and cosy
and warm in winter. Surrounded by lush gardens, the fragrance of
the frangipanis and jasmine waft in and the calls of the birds and
sounds of the ocean lull you to sleep. Peaceful and
relaxed.
The guest rooms are
conveniently located on the ground floor, nestled amongst the palms and lilipillies. Two
spa rooms have beautiful timber bifolding doors that open onto
your own pool-side terrace and lush gardens. The perfect place to
relax over afternoon tea or a pre-dinner drink.
The
other spa room is off the front of
the house and has a beautiful polished timber floor and a shady
verandah that looks over the hibiscus garden to a lush subtropical
rainforest reserve. There is one queen room off the side of the house,
also with polished timber floor, sliding doors onto a private deck and
a bath in the ensuite.
